Returning to your country of origin requires careful planning. A significant aspect is your actual journey there. Moreover, the German authorities must approve and support your return. We can help with managing all these aspects.

Obtaining necessary documents

One common issue for returnees are missing documents. Our counselling office has contacts to many countries’ embassies and consulates, enabling us to support you in the oftentimes difficult process of applying for and obtaining travel papers and ID documents.

Communicating with authorities and partner organisations

We can help you to communicate your wish to return to the German authorities and other institutions, facilitate arranging appointments, and support you in filling out paperwork. Especially for those who have already been ordered to leave the country, we try to work as closely as possible with the German authorities to have them approve and support a voluntary return.

Organising the journey

We can plan and organise the journey for you. This includes booking a flight, as well as scheduling your trip to the airport. Depending on your individual case, we can apply to different support programmes offering financial assistance.
